HOW IT WORKS

How does ClearoSystems work?

ClearoSystems starts with a free, guided five-minute EPR needs analysis, built for e-commerce and digital export businesses. At the end you see a preview of your obligations profile per target country: which registrations apply, which additional duties apply such as marking, and which risks you run if you do not meet those obligations. The full report is sent to you or exported once you leave your contact details. From that profile, the same route continues to a quote, the contract and execution by specialists; today they handle that step personally, and the automated version is in preparation.

SAMPLE RESULT

Dutch homeware webshop that also sells into Germany

Conclusion: this webshop has to register for packaging in two countries. WEEE and batteries do not apply in this example. The result gives the next step for each obligation, which a specialist can then carry out.

ENTERED IN THE ANALYSISEXAMPLE
  • Based in the Netherlands
  • Sells kitchen and home accessories through its own webshop
  • Also ships to German customers

The analysis identifies two obligations

  • Packaging · NLACTION NEEDED

Packaging placed on the Dutch market must always be accountable by weight and material; above 50,000 kg a year the Verpact declaration and waste management contribution are added.

  • Packaging · DEACTION NEEDED

Selling to German customers requires its own LUCID registration under the VerpackDG.

  • WEEENOT APPLICABLE

No electronics in the product range.

  • BatteriesNOT APPLICABLE

No products with a battery or rechargeable cell.

This is an example. Your result depends on your answers.

THE FULL ROUTE

From the first question to ongoing guidance

  1. 01The analysisYou answer guided questions about your role, products, sales channels and target countries. Five minutes and free.
  2. 02Your obligations profilePer target country you see a preview of what you concretely have to do: registration duties, whether an authorised representative is required and additional duties such as marking — and the risks you run if you do not.
  3. 03Report, quote and contractThe full report reaches you by e-mail or as an export once you leave your contact details. If you want to go on, our specialists draw up the quote and the contract personally today; the automated step from profile to quote and contract, inside the same route, is in preparation.
  4. 04Execution and ongoing guidanceSpecialists handle registrations and reporting. A new product, channel or target country triggers a fresh assessment.

INSIDE THE ANALYSIS

Three questions determine your obligations profile

The analysis asks only what is needed to establish your obligations per target country.

  1. 01Your roleManufacturer, importer, reseller, brand owner or not yet sure.
  2. 02Your productsTwelve categories, from fashion to consumer electronics, including edge cases.
  3. 03Your channels and target countriesYour own webshop, bol.com or another sales channel, and which countries you sell to.
THE OUTCOME

What those three answers produce

Your obligations profile: per target country and regime, whether it applies, which registration is needed and what the next step is. Every obligation states what happens if you do not meet it — the risk of non-compliance, per target country. The preview of it sits on your screen at the end of the analysis; the full report — with sources and the recommended order — reaches you by e-mail or as an export once you leave your contact details. That profile is not an endpoint but your starting point — you can carry it straight into the quote a specialist draws up for you, and into the execution.

THE FOUNDATION

You assess your own situation, step by step

Instead of working through legal texts, you answer the guided questions and watch your own situation take shape: which regimes apply to your products and your markets, and where you are actually liable. The questions are written for e-commerce and export businesses — your own webshop, a marketplace, dropshipping, selling into another country — so that every combination of role, product, channel and target country is worked through separately instead of collapsing into one general answer. What you end up with is a profile you have to comply with — concrete enough to act on, through registration and reporting. The decision logic behind it is built and maintained by experienced EPR specialists; unclear cases go to a specialist, and the analysis never fills in an answer by itself.

  • 54modelled starting situations across role, channel, buyer type and regime
  • 3regimes in the analysis: packaging, WEEE and batteries
  • 28countries in scope: the EU-27 plus Switzerland
  • 12product categories, including edge cases
